Privacy notice
This notice covers both this website and the KoalaCare product. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect on this website
There are exactly two situations in which this website collects anything:
- If you join the early access list, we store the email address you enter, your name if you choose to give it, the option you pick from the "which best describes you" list, and the date and time you submitted the form.
- If you email us, we receive whatever you write and we keep it while we are dealing with it.
We do not set advertising or analytics cookies, we load no third-party scripts or fonts, and we do not embed external trackers, social widgets or maps. You can confirm this in your browser's network tab.
Why we collect it
- To invite you to early access, which is the reason you gave us the address.
- To understand roughly who is waiting, so we can prepare the right setup.
- To reply if you contact us.
That is the whole list. We do not use your email for anything else, and we do not add you to unrelated mailing lists.
What we collect in the product
When you use a care circle, we store the information you and your circle put into it: names and roles of members, contact details you add, medications, appointments, documents you upload, and timeline entries.
That information is visible to the members of your circle according to their roles. It is not visible to other families, and it is not used to train advertising systems.
How long we keep it
- Early access list entries are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until early access ends.
- Care circle content is kept while the circle is open.
- When you close or delete a circle, its content is deleted.
- We keep records only where the law requires it, and we tell you if that applies.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We use infrastructure providers to run the service, which means data is processed on systems we control but do not physically own. Those providers process data on our instructions only.
Your choices
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Ask us to stop emailing you.
- Export the contents of your care circle yourself.
To do any of these, email hello@koalacare.app. We will confirm when the request is complete.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we will email the people on the early access list rather than quietly editing the page.
