Plain terms for a product that is still being built. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
What KoalaCare is
KoalaCare is a coordination tool for families and the people who help them care for someone. It helps a group of people keep shared information in one place.
What KoalaCare is not
- It is not a medical device and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
- It is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact emergency services.
- It does not replace the judgement of a clinician, pharmacist or carer.
- It does not fund or provide care.
- It is not a legal record of care, and it is not a substitute for professional case notes.
Information in a care circle is entered by the people in that circle. You should always confirm medication details against the prescription or pharmacy label rather than relying on any app.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information when you join the early access list.
- Only add people to a circle who have agreed to be added.
- Keep your account credentials secure and tell us if you think they are compromised.
- Do not use KoalaCare to harass anyone, to store unlawful material, or to attempt to access another family's circle.
- Do not attempt to disrupt or probe the service outside our security reporting process.
Early access
KoalaCare is pre-launch. Features may change, break or be removed while we build. Early access is free and has no service level agreement. We may end the early access programme, and if we do, we will tell you in advance and give you time and a way to export your information.
Availability
We aim to keep KoalaCare available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, faults and changes to infrastructure may interrupt it. During early access there is no availability guarantee.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, KoalaCare is provided as-is during early access, without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of information entered into a care circle by its members.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.
Ending your use
You can stop using KoalaCare at any time and ask us to delete your circle. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously breached or if we are required to by law.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will tell early access members by email before the change takes effect.
